I would get a sore throat and colds every season until right after college I started protecting my neck consistently with neck gaiters and scarves. Working in NYC and running from meeting to meeting I had to take off my neckwear often. I was frustrated with tying traditional scarves into knots differently each time and dragging a gaiter over my head messing up my hair each time. So I got to work to make it better. 

I bought a sewing machine on Amazon along with magnets and metals. The first POLARITY scarf creation was not the best but it was useful and I wore it all winter long. From there POLARITY has continued to develop in craftsmanship/manufacturing and materials to create the most efficient and effective winter neckwear. The rare earth metals and fabric are sourced from China as there isn’t much access to other mines and fabric mills. The first market batch was manufactured in China but we are looking to move manufacturing to  Mexico for the next batch.

POLARITY scarves have a patented magnet track so you can easily WRAP AND CLASP our neck gaiter around your neck. The focus has been Utility. There are several other features for fashion including; a changeable and customizable magnet medallion and and attachable long scarf for the scarf draped around your neck without compromising neck coverage.

POLARITY is on a mission to revolutionize traditional scarves and neck gaiters with our patented magnet clasping track. We took the best part of neck gaiters and traditional scarves and did away with their outdated inefficiencies.

Magnets in clothing will continue to be more prominent in the future and POLARITY will work to reimagine new ways to utilize clothing to not only make it more useful but accessible and fun.

Chicago is already well known for its Chicago style pizza and its Chicago dog. The Windy City is due for a Chicago-style scarf by POLARITY.

In February 2022 we launcher on Kickstarter. In a month we raised $17,500 with 152 backers from 13 different countries. These initial seed money got POLARITY going and we were able to purchase the first order of POLARITY scarves to be ready for winter '22-'23.
